Answers international students ask most about colleges, visas, fees and arriving in India.

Still unsure?

A counsellor answers your questions for free.

Students from outside India can apply for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes at recognised Indian universities. You need a valid passport, academic records and, for many programmes, proof that you can study in English.
Yes. After you receive an admission or offer letter, apply for an Indian student visa at the embassy or consulate in your country. You will usually need the offer letter, passport, photographs, proof of funds and any extra papers the embassy lists.
Main intakes are July–August and January. Start 4–8 months before the intake you want, so the university can issue the offer letter in time for the visa.
Many Indian colleges teach in English. Some ask for IELTS or TOEFL. Others accept proof that your previous schooling was in English. Your counsellor will confirm what your shortlisted colleges ask for.
Tuition at recognised private universities is often ₹1–5 lakh a year, depending on the course and city. Living costs vary by city. A counsellor can give you a city-wise estimate for your course.
Degrees from UGC-recognised universities are widely accepted. Some countries ask for an equivalence certificate. We shortlist colleges that publish UGC, AICTE or council approval for the programme.
Most international students must register with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO or e-FRRO) after arriving in India. Your university international office usually helps with this.
No. Profile evaluation and the first counselling session are free. We help you shortlist colleges, prepare the application and understand the visa steps.
